Our Policies
Arrival: I agree to ensure my pet is walked before their appointment.
Health & Current Vaccinations: I verify that my pet is current on all necessary vaccinations, and is healthy to my knowledge. I understand that grooming can be stressful to some pets and I will inform this establishment if my pet has any heart conditions or any stress related issues prior to grooming. I also understand that it is necessary to have my pet up to date on all vaccinations prior to every grooming appointment. Grooming procedures can be especially stressful for senior or ill pets. Grooming can also expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. Because pets with special needs or illness have a greater chance of injury, they will be groomed for cleanliness and comfort or may be denied service altogether.
If a latch key service is provided, in the best interest of your pet this agreement will give this establishment permission to obtain immediate Veterinary treatment for your pet should it be deemed necessary. We will do our best to contact you first, and then take your pet to the Vet of our choice, which may or may not be your Vet on file. It is agreed that all expenses for Veterinary care will be covered by the pet's owner upon signing this agreement.
Aggressive Behavior: I understand I MUST inform this establishment if my pet bites, has bitten, or is aggressive to people or specific grooming procedures. I acknowledge that a muzzle may be used if necessary and that muzzling will not harm my pet and protects both the pet and the groomer. This establishment reserves the right to refuse/stop services for such pets at any time before, during, or after the grooming process should the pet exhibit aggressive behavior and that a special handling fee may be added in addition to the regular grooming charges. I understand I am fully liable for any medical care expenses and damages that result from injuries to groomers, staff, or damage to equipment caused by my pet.
Coat Condition: I understand that this establishment puts my pet’s comfort above all else. Pets with matted coats need extra attention during their grooming session. In the event that my pet’s coat is matted, I understand that the groomer may have to shave the matts out rather than perform a painful dematting procedure. I also understand that if my pet is severely matted, that there is an increased risk for clipper burn, nicks, or cuts to occur. I understand that all attempts will be made to prevent this, however in many extreme conditions, it is unavoidable. Heavy matting can also trap moisture and urine near the pet's skin allowing mold, fungus, or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that existed prior to the grooming process that may not have been visible. After effects of mat removal procedures can include itchiness, skin redness, self-inflicted irritations or abrasions, and failure of the hair to re-grow. Shaved pets are also prone to sunburn and should be kept out of the sun until the hair grows sufficiently to protect the skin. In some cases, pets may also exhibit brief behavioral changes. I also understand that matted pets take additional time to groom, so there may be an additional dematting fee added on to the regular grooming price if my pet’s coat is matted.
Accidents: Grooming equipment is sharp, and even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations, possible injuries could occur including cuts, nicks, scratches, quicking of nails, etc. Every effort will be made to ensure your pet is groomed as safely as possible. In the event of an accident that requires Veterinarian attention, reimbursement of medical care expenses and discounted services will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Contagious Illnesses, Fleas, or Parasites: I understand that I am required to disclose any heath concerns, including fleas, parasites, ticks, infections, or other contagious conditions to the establishment prior to the day of my pet’s appointment. I understand that if the groomer determines that there is any condition that was not disclosed prior to grooming, services may be halted and the pet will be sent home immediately. I also understand that I will be charged the regular grooming price if my pet has any of these conditions, even if services were not completed, and may or may not be charged an additional clean-up fee on top of the regular grooming price.
Cancellation Policy: I understand that if I need to change my appointment time or cancel it, that I must give at least a 24 hour notice so that the appointment time can be made available to another client who is on our waiting list. If I miss two appointments without giving a 24 hour notice, I understand that I will be required to pre-pay a non-refundable deposit prior to scheduling any future appointments or may be refused any future services.
Late & No-Show Policies: I understand I need to be respectful of the groomer’s time as this is a by appointment mobile business. I understand I am obligated to inform the establishment if I will not be home in time for my pet’s appointment. If I am more than 15 minutes late, I understand that I am at risk of forfeiting my appointment or a change in service as time allows. I understand an additional fee may be applied to the regular grooming price that was scheduled at the discretion of the establishment. If I I am not home for my pet’s appointment and do not call to inform the establishment I will not be home, I understand I may be charged for the appointment in full and will not be able to re-book without paying for the no-show appointment.
Release of Liability from Home/Property Damage: Establishment will not be held responsible for damages to my yard, home, or property while on the service call for grooming my pet(s). If I authorize the establishment to perform scheduled grooming appointments while I am away from my home or property and a key is left to access the premises, establishment will not be held responsible for any damages or theft to my property.
